Meet Morgan Wyatt
Morgan Wyatt is a talented and passionate rider with an impressive track record in both eventing and show jumping. Having competed up to CCI3*, Morgan is now ambitiously aiming for the pinnacle of the sport—five-star competitions and, one day, the Olympics. “It’s good to dream,” he says, though those who know Morgan would agree that with his work ethic and natural talent, those dreams are well within reach.
Morgan spent six formative years working at Halefield Stud under the masterful eye of Matt Lanni, where he honed his skills in producing young horses. Specialising in backing and bringing on 4-, 5-, and 6-year-olds, Morgan built a reputation for patience, precision, and the ability to turn raw potential into competition-ready talent. His expertise in this area was a key reason Alex invited him to join the Hyde Lodge team.
A strong show jumping background gives Morgan an edge in both disciplines. He has competed at a high level in show jumping and brings that experience into his eventing, particularly thriving in the show jumping phases and young horse classes. His passion for developing talented young horses is clear, and he is now building a string of promising rides at Hyde Lodge.
Beyond his skill in the saddle, Morgan is known for his infectious sense of humour and team-first attitude. He brings positivity, laughter, and professionalism to every yard he’s a part of, making him not only a great rider but also a great teammate.
With his growing stable, love for the sport, and focus on young horse development, Morgan Wyatt is undoubtedly a name to watch in the future of eventing and show jumping.
Vision & Values
For me, it’s all about the process—building genuine partnerships with each horse and giving them the time, confidence, and education they need to thrive. I believe in riding with feel, patience, and consistency, and I value a calm, positive environment both at home and at shows. I’m driven by the long-term picture, always aiming to develop horses that are not only competitive but happy and confident in their work. I take pride in being part of a supportive team and staying grounded, no matter how big the goals get. Success, to me, isn’t just about results—it’s about the journey, the relationships, and always showing up with integrity.
