We’re still buzzing from an incredible performance by Newmarket Patrol and Holly Smith this weekend at Addington Manor, where the pair delivered a standout round in the hotly contested 1.40m jump-off class—coming away with a fantastic 2nd place.

This was only their second-ever jump off, but you wouldn’t have known it from the way they tackled the course. They produced a flawless first round, setting themselves up beautifully for the final test. In the jump off, they turned on the speed and precision, delivering a blistering round that was just fractions of a second away from taking top honours.

For a combination still relatively new to the jumping game, this result is a huge achievement—and a testament to the talent, trust, and hard work behind the scenes. It’s clear this pair is just getting started, and we’re seriously excited about what lies ahead.
