Osberton International
Osberton International Horse Trials once again delivered a top-tier week of competition, with beautifully prepared ground, challenging but fair tracks, and a brilliant atmosphere. Hyde Lodge Horses had two runners across the levels, both putting in confident performances that showed real quality and consistency.
Olistar’s Big Dream – CCI1*-Intro
Olistar’s Big Dream got the week off to a strong start in the CCI1*-Intro, producing a smart and settled dressage test to score 31.0, leaving the pair well placed going into the jumping phases.
Cross-country day saw them jump confidently around the track, adding 4 time penalties but finishing clear and proving just how genuine and rideable this horse is. They rounded off the weekend with a clear show jumping round, finishing on a final score of 35.0 and taking 20th place in a competitive class.
A really solid run that achieved exactly what it set out to — confidence, experience, and another positive result on the board.
Centre of Attention – CCI-L 2*
Centre of Attention stepped up to the CCI-L 2*, delivering a composed and professional performance throughout the long-format competition. The pair opened with an expressive and accurate dressage test, scoring 32.9, setting them up well from the start.
They followed this with a clear cross-country round, finishing well inside the time with 0 penalties, showing maturity, stamina, and confidence across the track. A strong show jumping round added just 0.4 time penalties, bringing them home on a final score of 33.3 and securing 16th place.
It was a performance that reflected careful production and smart riding — exactly what you want to see from a horse progressing through the long-format levels.
Osberton continues to be a standout fixture in the calendar, and both horses came away feeling confident, fit, and ready to keep building towards the rest of the season. Plenty to be proud of, and lots to look forward to. ✨
