A busy and rewarding week for Alex at Burgham with two very different but equally exciting horses. Cool Jack (Colin) made his first competition appearance since Thoresby, showing flashes of brilliance and enjoying a strong cross-country run. Atty made his FEI debut and stepped up in a big way, tackling his first 2* with heart and plenty of promise for the future. A great mid-season checkpoint for the team with lots to look forward to.

We had a fantastic day at Little Downham Horse Trials, with both Centre of Attention ridden by Alex and Rachael on Friday giving us plenty to cheer about. Atty may be at novice level, but he tackled a challenging cross-country course with confidence and gave his syndicate owners a great day out—he’s definitely one to watch. Meanwhile, Rachael and Friday continued their impressive form in just their second Intermediate, delivering a personal best in the dressage, a clear in the show jumping, and a bold cross-country round to finish 11th. It’s brilliant to see both partnerships making such exciting progress.

Jules and her young mare Kola took on their first stay-away show at the BE Harry Hall Ace Eventing Championships at Aintree. We wrapped up a rewarding week at Bicton International (1) with JACK RANDALL completing his first CCI-L 3* of the season. With Alex Tordoff in the saddle, JACK delivered a consistent and confident performance from start to finish, showing that he’s stepping up to the challenge of the long format with maturity and grit.

What a debut at the level for CENTRE OF ATTENTION (“Atty”)! Tackling his first Novice at Aston-le-Walls, Atty made light work of the bigger questions, jumping around like it was a Pony Club rally. We’re honestly a bit surprised by how easy he found it—and even more excited about what’s ahead for his first full season. This is definitely one to watch!

JACK RANDALL tackled the CCI-S 3* at Burnham Market International on April 11 with Alex Tordoff in the irons, delivering a clear cross-country despite challenges in the show jumping phase.

We’re back in action for the 2025 eventing season, and Thoresby Park gave us a good start. Alex Tordoff rode both COOL JACK and JACK RANDALL, and they each came away with solid, confidence-building runs.
